Sorema Bee Waffle Towels: A Closer Look

Bee Waffle is one of the reasons dvieli.lv is becoming more than a Latvian waffle-towel workshop — it's turning into a curated towel destination. These towels come from Sorema, a European producer, and sit alongside our own Latvian-made waffle and terry lines rather than replacing them. The honeycomb weave will look familiar; the weight in your hand won't.

What's in the weave

Bee Waffle towels are woven from 100% superior combed cotton at 550 GSM — noticeably heavier than our own cotton waffle towels, which is part of why they feel denser and more substantial in hand. Combing removes the shorter cotton fibres before spinning, which is what gives the yarn its smoothness and the finished towel its slightly more refined surface. The waffle structure itself is the same honeycomb weave you already know from our own range: small, even cells that increase the surface touching your skin, so the towel still dries you efficiently despite the extra weight.

Built to hold up

Every towel is prewashed and preshrunk before it reaches you, so it stays close to true to size rather than shrinking further after your first wash at home. The corners are rounded and double-sewn for extra resistance, and each towel has a sewn-in hanger loop — a small detail that matters more than it sounds once you're trying to dry more than one towel in a single bathroom.

Sizes and colours

Bee Waffle comes in four sizes, from a small face cloth up to a full bath sheet:

• 30 × 30 cm — face cloth
• 50 × 100 cm — hand or gym towel
• 70 × 140 cm — everyday bath towel
• 100 × 150 cm — bath sheet

Right now it's available in nine colours: Beige, Storm, Blush, Baltic, Oxford, Fog, Sea Mist, Jade and Natural — enough range to build a full bathroom set, or just add one new shade to what you already have at home.

Where it fits

If our own cotton waffle towels are the everyday, lightweight option, Bee Waffle sits a step up: heavier, denser, with the honeycomb texture you already know from our waffle range but noticeably more weight in hand. It works well as a small upgrade for your own bathroom, as a hostess or housewarming gift, or simply as a change from terry without giving up softness. And because it comes from Sorema rather than our own workshop, it's a way for us to widen what "a dvieli.lv bathroom" can look like without changing what we make ourselves.
